Company director Richard White decided to join the EV revolution and purchased an electric car, for which he needed EV charging point. We were asked to supply 2 charging points: one for the business and one for his home address. The specification was simple: 2 untethered units, robust and reliable, universal with a home one having a locking function to stop it being used when the owner is out.
Having discussed various scenarios in adopting electrical vehicle charging solutions on business site, we have concluded that the most suitable option would be an installation of one wall mounted unit in an area within proximity of car parking spaces.
The proposed EO Charging unit (product EO EG010) is single phase, 32amp with 7.2 kW output. Robust, heavy duty, hard wearing, vandal resistant EV charging station specifically designed and manufactured for public facing and exposed locations offers a simple free to charge solution. Any person intending to use this charger will have to use their own power lead that will fit at both ends to the car and a charger.
The untethered fast charger for the domestic address included in the proposal has a manual security key switch disarming charger’s output when required.
