Following on from a purchase of this lovely cottage in South Manchester, the home owner Richard decided to embark on a mammoth task of upgrading all ancient electrics to modern standards.
One of the fundamental requirements was to keep old system alive as we were working on new cabling.
The solution was to perform this task in stages.
This would allow for new installation to blend in at least destructive way from the initial survey and assessment of the original cabling system to a complete rewiring of the whole property.
It was a laborious process involving countless man hours on site replacing bit by bit of electrics as we were progressing.
All in all, a total of seven consumer units were installed at this property. In the end we managed to restore an order to all electrics, leaving one happy customer.
