Harvey Nichols, founded in 1831, is a luxury British department store, it has seven outlets within the UK and Ireland, consisting of five large-format stores in London, Edinburgh, Birmingham, Leeds and Manchester, and two small-format stores in Bristol and Dublin.
Harvey Nichols sells fashion collections for men and women, fashion accessories, beauty products, wine and food. The objection for this large retailer was to save energy and improve customer’s experience by retrofitting LED lighting.
A main emphasis was to replace the existing unreliable and nonfunctional lighting system with the top of the range, quality LED units.
For this delicate project we have partnered with a Manchester based specialist LED manufacturer who was able to deliver tailored made products specially for Harvey Nichols unique requirements. The installation was conducted after the close of sales and the entire shop floor became a mini construction site for the night. By the time the first customers walked through the door the following morning, the upgrade was completed.
Having completed number of retail projects in the past, we knew how to handle this one efficiently.
All arrangements including material delivery, staff induction and briefing were done prior to proposed start time. Once we were allowed on site, everyone knew what to do. Only by having experienced staff in this area of work we were able to finish ahead of the deadline.
Meeting Michael and the GRIFF team was a breath of fresh air. Michael and his entire team were on-hand and available through the whole process to cope with the inevitable challenges of a project this size, and their ongoing quality assurance throughout the programme ensured that on move-in day, we did not even have one item which was not fully operational. Griff Services did a great job for me. They arranged for the installation of the EV charging point at short notice and provided update and reminder text messages prior to the job. On the morning of the install they also notified me of the installer Tom's ETA. Tom did a great and tidy job and was extremely pleasant to deal with.
